We hope they help you prepare for the journey and answer some of the practical
questions you may have.
You need to book your international flights to Bogotá, Colombia.
Our food is healthy and predominantly plant-based, with plenty of fresh
Colombian ingredients, tropical fruits and juices. The Registration Form
includes a section where you can tell us about allergies or important
dietary requirements so that our team can prepare accordingly.
No. The areas included in our retreat journey do not require a Yellow Fever
vaccination and are not areas for which Malaria medication is normally
required. You may still wish to speak with your GP or travel clinic regarding
your own personal travel health needs before coming to Colombia.
Yes. We provide recommendations for accommodation in Bogotá and useful
arrival information in your Digital Welcome Pack.
We can help you plan your arrival and advise you on the easiest way to
reach the meeting point. More detailed arrival information is included
in your Digital Welcome Pack.
There are no hidden retreat fees. Your retreat investment covers the
programme and everything described on our Rates page. Personal purchases,
international flights and any other expenses specifically listed as excluded
remain your responsibility.
No. You will need to book your own return international flight to Colombia.
We recommend booking well in advance whenever possible. Further travel
suggestions are included in your Digital Welcome Pack.
Yes. You will receive a detailed packing list in your Digital Welcome Pack,
including clothing recommendations for the different temperatures and
environments we will encounter during the journey.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss an alternative payment
method. Any applicable transfer or payment-processing fees will be
explained before payment is made.
Yes. At different moments during the journey there will be some personal
time to wander, rest and explore. Colombia has beautiful traditional
crafts, so leaving a little extra room in your luggage is usually a good idea.
Colombia uses Colombian Pesos (COP). Everyday purchases are normally made
in pesos rather than US Dollars. You can exchange money after arriving or
withdraw pesos from cash machines in Colombia. It is also worth letting
your bank know that you will be travelling internationally.
As with travelling anywhere, awareness and sensible precautions are
important. We know the areas in which the retreat takes place very well
and the journey is organised and accompanied by our team. We also provide
practical guidance before and during the retreat so participants know
what to expect in each place.
Yes. International cards generally work at cash machines in Colombia,
although withdrawal limits and charges depend on your bank and the
Colombian bank operating the machine. We recommend informing your bank
before travelling so that your card is not blocked while you are away.
Colombia uses approximately 110–120V electricity and Type A and B sockets.
If you are travelling from the UK or Europe, you will need an appropriate
plug adaptor. Most modern phone and laptop chargers are designed for a
wide voltage range, but always check the voltage information printed on
your own device before connecting it.

Although we encourage participants to use this journey as an opportunity
to disconnect from everyday life, we understand that some people need to
remain reachable for family, work or other reasons.
International roaming generally works in the areas where we stay, although signal can vary as we move through more rural and natural locations. Please be aware that international roaming can also become expensive depending on your provider.
If you prefer, we can provide you with a Colombian pay-as-you-go SIM card with internet access on request. There is an additional cost for this service, and the details can be arranged with us before the retreat.
